Technical Expression
My first passion in life has always been cars, since two years old----I have been infatuated with them. I see them as much more than just a way to get from point A to point B, actually viewing them as an extension of their owner. One of my favorite hobbies is expressing myself both artistically and technically through my customizations. I have always said that every car I own will never look like anything else on the road. I started with a 2008 Pontiac G5 GT at age 16 as I learned quite a bit through research, interest, and trial & error. This was just the beginning to my customizations becoming more precise and skilled over time. I currently own a 2016 Camaro RS and a 2010 Cadillac SRX that I tinker on and continue to make one of a kind (both pictured below). There’s not a single detail nor imperfection on them that I’m not aware of, as I see fixing their issues as therapeutic (well most of the time---I’ve spent many a time at 3 AM in the garage undesirably).
In example, the large image at the top left below is of a custom wheel from my Camaro. I searched high and low to get those specific garnet red lug nuts, and created & applied the “RS” detail accent that adorns a single spoke of each wheel myself. Furthermore, just below that, I applied “remove after flight” tags to each of the seatbelts giving a nod to my undergrad experience in aerospace. Additionally, when you open each door of the SRX, the Cadillac logo is cast on the ground before you.
I’ve put blood, sweat, and tears into these projects, but I always come back for more. Between my own projects and those for others, below is a list detailing some of my additional automotive project work/capabilities. I love lending my expertise, as I am often asked to consult or teach from my DIY experiences. I view each car is a different case study, yielding a new opportunity.
